A Visit to a Historical Place

Last winter vacation, I visited Murshidabad with my parents. It is a famous historical place in West Bengal. We went there by train. First, we saw the grand Hazarduari Palace, which has a thousand real and false doors. Inside the palace, there was a museum containing ancient weapons, paintings, and royal costumes used by the Nawabs. We also visited Katra Mosque, Motijheel, and the tomb of Siraj-ud-Daulah. Seeing these historical monuments made me feel connected to our rich past. It was a memorable and educational journey that I will cherish forever.

2. Story Writing

The Clever Fox and the Foolish Crow

Once, a crow found a delicious piece of cheese. She flew to a nearby tree to enjoy it. A hungry fox saw the crow and wanted the cheese. The cunning fox came under the tree and said politely, “Hello beautiful crow! Your feathers are so shiny and your voice must be melodious. Please sing a song for me.” The foolish crow felt flattered and opened her beak to sing, “Caw, caw!” The piece of cheese dropped from her mouth. The fox quickly picked it up, ate it, and ran away.
Moral: Beware of flatterers.
